Is peace attainable in contexts of prolonged violence, such as in Colombia? Rather than offering theoretical answers, this Global Space explores existing peacebuilding efforts and personal experiences focused on human dignity and reconciliation. I

It emphasizes that peace is more than the mere absence of conflict, but a commitment to build relationships based on love, respect toward life and forgiveness. When paired with justice and reparations, forgiveness proves to be a transformative power for both victims and perpetrators. Addressing structural inequalities such as poverty and exclusion is essential to break the cycle of violence and achieve peace.  Additionally, we will reflect on how the Christian call to become “artisans of peace”, inspires collective actions to transform hearts and societal structures and create an ethical and spiritual vision of peace that affirms the dignity and right to life for all.
