Whether in education, at work, in the public or our personal lives, we are constantly pushed to perform well and seek recognition.

Additionally, there is an expectation to keep up to date with the latest developments. All this fuels our constant drive for self-optimisation. It is no secret that this attitude isn’t healthy in the long run. Yet, taking a pause and slowing down is extremely difficult for many of us. Even though we understand how essential it is to acknowledge our exhaustion and allow ourselves to rest, we often realize that the ability to take breaks without consequences is a privilege not everyone can afford. We therefore invite you to our Hammock Talk, creating a space to share experiences and insights about the importance of taking time off - and simply letting the soul unwind. Philosopher and psychotherapist Cristina Thurnwalder will provide insights into the significance of breaks, time for reflection, processing experiences, and consciously shaping one's life.
We look forward to creating a cosy setting for you and invite you to a collective "Hanging Around" experience. Feel free to bring a comfortable (picnic) blanket and/or a cushion.

Speaker: Cristina Thurnwalder (Salzburg) – Philosopher and Psychotherapist

Date: Wednesday, June 11, 2025, 6 PM
